There are several levels of word play here, each of them fairly obscure and likely only to appeal to professors of a certain (passing, postmodern) kind:
name that tome: plays on another quiz show of some years past called “Name that Tune”
“What is: Beginning the answer with a question is, of course, the way one plays Jeopardy, the quiz show under discussion.
‘what condition my condition is in?”: plays on both the title of Lyotard’s influential book, The Postmodern Condition and a song lyric from the 70’s by Kenny Rogers and the First Edition.
