What is crucial is the kind of linking, more than the content of resistant hypertexts. They needn't be meta-discourses, but they will need to be constantly open to self-reflective moves and to extensions in directions that don't fit their current selves. You can link in new directions, so there is more available than simple irony.
This presumes, of course, that you have tools in your own hands for linking and are not restricted to consuming pre-linked products.
Inventing such tools is a task for, among others, universities.
