About trAce

trAce connects writers and readers around the world in real and virtual space. We promote an accessible and inclusive approach to the internet with the focus on creativity, collaboration and training. This is where writers meet to experiment, create new work, and expand the potential of the global literary community. Membership is free.

Consultancy
We offer webdesign, customised message boards, project management, consultancy and bespoke training for writers, individuals and organisations.

Writing School
Courses include Fiction, The Art of Screenwriting, Writing Children's Fiction, Introduction to the Internet for Writers, and Web Design Workshop. Plus our continuous Online Writers' Workshop.

Kids on the Net
A site for young people featuring writing by children at home and at school all over the world. We encourage submissions of poems, stories, and contributions to our Friends, Opinions and All About Me pages. We promote creativity and collaboration online as well as the use of the Internet to encourage reading and writing. Our biggest collaborative projects are Dragonsville, Kids' Castle - based on Nottingham's castle in 1480, with various writing activities - and Monster Motel (the latter two designed by Mark Burgess and the Castle written by Philip Ardagh). We also work with libraries, communities, teachers and schools on- and off-line to create web-specific writing projects such as Daisy and the Intergalactic Travelling Salesmen or Planet of Dreams hypertext stories and creative websites involving whole schools. The eTeachers' Portal provides resources and downloadables to support use of the site within the National Literacy Framework.
